Optic Nerve Damage??

Since the spring I have been dealing with blurry vision. I have seen my optometrist twice and was prescribed glasses for reading and computer use. Myvision continues to be blurry. Today I saw an ophthalmologist and he is going to test my optic nerve see if alcohol use has damaged it. Has anyone else had any issues like this? I am not asking for any type of medical advice as I am seeing my doctor just curious if anybody else has had this issue. Thanks

I had a good friend who went totally blind for 8 months due extremely excessive drinking.
Just woke up one day and couldn't see. Scary stuff

A few times I lost my peripheral vision from drinking too much. In the latter years of my drinking I was having issues with my eyes but mainly from them being so dry I think. With all my medical problems I had, quitting drinking improved them no end... x

I think it may be neurological, simply because of My Experience with Hearing deficit and Constant Ringing in My left ear -

I thought I had a chunk of wax in it-Went to the Doc-Nothing in there. He wanted to send Me for a Hearing test-I didn't go. This went on a month Before I saw the Doc and about 2 months after-
I quit drinking for about 6 weeks and guess what? I could Hear Normally again. I'm just coming out of a 1 1/2 month Ripper here and guess what? It's B-a-ack... Hmmm.....
