a long time ago when I was married my wife said she did not want to be married to an alcoholic. I think I denied it for a long time to try to keep the family together. Didn't work so well. obviously we just weren't meant for each other.

early recovery is a time of emotional upheaval tho...
I think life changing decisions are best put off for a bit, at least until you know who sober you is?
