I love that song. First time I heard it was when my son at the time age 17 was in rehab. and they had sunday get together's with family and the kids got to show their talent and this one boy played the guitar and sang it beautifully brought tears to my eyes. Does every time I hear it. Happy tears.

Yeap Gary Moore is N.Irish . . . a legend!! . . . when Eric Clapton played Belfast in 2012 he played a tribute to him as he had passed away the previous year, it was the only place on the tour he did the tribute . . . played "still got the blues" . . . acoustic version too, it was amazing!

Great interpretation of the song ESN!

Glad you like Cohen's interpretation. It took him years to write that song! It's a masterpiece IMO. Although, Cohen once mentioned that he wished people would stop covering it for a while... I tend to agree. I'd hate to think of people turning it off "Oh not that song AGAIN!". LOL

Love this thread. Christmas always brings out the how I am hated by God because I reject a religion. Actually most Christian religions are big on one true God. My way or the highway to hell kinda thing.
Love Elvis and Martina. Great links.
I tend to agree with you Patman.
