Welcome. Be careful with your symptoms and don't hesitate to call a doc. They can be serious.

This is an awesome site. Read and post. Be strong, it's worth it. One day at a time.

I found your statement mirrors my sentiment and I chose AA years ago and the fellowship has not let me down. This site has much good support, I just got used to face to face help, giving and taking.

BE WELL

Welcome trebor. I'm so glad you've made the decision to stop alcohol from controlling your life.

I found it such a relief to join SR - where everyone understood what I was going through. No one else in my life got it. We are here to listen and help.

Welcome, Trebor! You made a great move coming here and a better move when you decided to quit. SR has been a big help to me, and now 14 months after finding the place I'm still sober.

Do be careful with withdrawals. Quitting cold turkey can be dangerous. When I decided to stop I quit completely because I decided that dying of withdrawals was better than being drunk every day. I got lucky and had no problems, but I don't recommend doing it like I did!

Again, great to have you here Trebor. You're right- it's great to have someone to talk to that knows what you're going through. And here at SR there are thousands of us!
