My happy day has become rather unhappy.......

Discovered that my girl cat is using our plant as a litter box. I went to go find some shoes for this wedding and a curtain rod. When I get home the curtains in the bedroom are torn down (this is unrelated to the curtain rod that I bought for the living room. The bedrooms curtain rod is now broken in two) It is the girl cat again. She is destroying everything in my house. I don't know what to do. She is a f***ing terror. This stresses me out so much.

Geez..... What a hour it has been around here.

Aaaaargh.... these things are sent to try you!! Hey - you got through a bunch of other stuff, you can get through this!

Have you got any catnip toys for your female cat? Might be worth a try.... calms them down

Ya, she has an arsenal of crap. A huge cat tree, toys, window sills, almost everything that I can think of. She only destructs when we are not around. I was only gone for an hour. I cant seem to figure out what her deal is. I think she may be unhappy indoors. She will die If I let her outside. Anyways, she is not coming around me now, she knows I am pissed. I yelled at her and told her to go find a new home. We have been through this before. F'ing animal. Now, I have to buy another curtain rod set......Maybe tomorrow.

Mizzuno, I have a puppy (whom I adore!) that is an absolute terror so I know how stressful it can be!!

My puppy (now 6 months) Refuses to be house trained, and actually appears to hold it when she's outside, to come in and go immediately on the floor! Then she will attack me while I try to clean it! She's nuts, lol.

And she's a house wrecker!! Has chewed every leg of every piece of very expensive furniture in my house!
It's infuriating, and I think I have actually drank over it, but don't do that, lol.

Hang in there!

No drinking. I just turned red for an hour. I felt my blood pressure sky rocket. I seriously am not sure what to do with this menace. So, I cleaned out the plant (it is huge. I could sit comfortably inside the planter) and then put red crushed pepper on the top layer of soil. She will not like it. Cleaned the litter box ( which is cleaned daily. I have decided if I leave this house, the two cats are going into a closed room with a litter box and food. There has to be a remedy. As for the curtains, I will figure it out soon enough. We are implementing water bottles.

Well you have the option of ridding it out or trying to find a new home for the cat.

If I was you, I would not let stress in my life in early recovery. Or at least stress you can avoid?

No more ideas! Cats and dogs and all our furry friends can definitely be infuriating at times! Hang in there everyone!

I'm back after a break from SR because life has been so busy. So glad to see you are doing so well-great job!

As for the cat...water spray bottles do work well if you catch them in the act. There's stuff called Feliway plug in that's supposed to calm them down (we have too many to do a true test). Also, maybe just put out boxes with holes cut in them when you're gone. Cats can't resist playing with a box, and usually pass out in them when they're done playing...
