This is literally, emotion and all, what I say to my AV when he is wanting me to drink because things are too hard. Or he is making excuses. Or he is forgetting what it is really like to give up, and not make it through.

I love it Mikie! it's so true that we have to reprogram our way of thinking.
The idea of getting sober has to be a definite one, do or do not.

For me, still at the beginning of sobriety at 14 days, deep Anger was the emotion I felt when I decided to quit, not at myself but at my addiction.
It has brought death and destruction to my door step. It tempted and promised me lies.
