If the green can help you temporarily to remain Alcohol free then I think it's not bad. Far less damaging than booze, and usually not hard to quit, for me it was a few years ago.
But of course, be careful not creating another problem.

Well, I developed just as big a problem with marijuana as I did with alcohol Kimura - it wasn't really the drugs that were the problem, it was me and my wanting to escape reality.
all I can suggest is be careful, cross addiction (substituting one drug for another) is very very common...
8 days sober is great - you're so close now to being free of everything - why not go for it?

Yeah, I agree with Dee. Just becaue we switch from one substance to another doesn't mean our problem is solved. A round nail does the same as a square nail if we're trying to pound it with the same hammer into the same kind of wood; the results are the same, a bent nail !!

I have done plenty of drinking, and tokin' over the years. For me the smoke was a lot better for me than the drinking. But for me, it made it too easy to go back to drinking. I tried many times to replace the drink with the smoke, but it never stuck. Especially if I ran out of smoke, perfect excuse to drink.
Just be careful man, and congrats on the 8 sober days!

Cheers people.
I've smoked for 15 years so I'm not switching from one addiction to the other. Just kicking the alcohol first. Pretty much impossible to stop smoking if still drinking. I don't do stupid stuff on the smoke except maybe eat too much.
Eventually I probebly will quit
Alcohol is the main problem for me tho
