3 Years Sober

My 3 year anniversary came this last week and I almost missed it.

It is hard to believe that I've made it this far.

For all of you struggling, you can get sober and live a meaningful and rewarding life. There are many ways to sobriety. And if you repeatedly fail at one program then try another one.

I wish everyone a fabulous and sober holiday season!

Excellent work, ru12! I love that sobriety has become so "normal" in your life that you almost missed the 3 year anniversary of your sobriety. It's one anniversary that's good to celebrate, but OK to forget too, if you know what I mean. Congratulations!!

Great job! I think there is a reason you missed it. You were probably not preoccupied on it. For me anyway, when I became sober I did it in a less worried way and started to overcome my addiction problems when I stopped trying so hard to overcome them, but to focus on something better: a new life, new activities that make me happy and built new habits.

Great Job again!

Thanks everyone! I rarely think about drinking. My life is full and there is simply no place for it in my life. I'm so lucky to have found a way out that works for me.
