Congratulations for wanting a new and repaired life. My past includes too many day ones. A thing that helped me finally was remembering all the pain involved previous to the day ones and getting involved with the fellowship where I received so much help for long term sobriety.
The bottom line was not having the first drink.

Welcome to SR! If you do the work before you know it it will be ,day 2, then day 7 etc.
I'm at day 6 myself. I feel a lot better already. All I needed to do is take one day at a time and remind myself that this is temporary pain
