31 year old binge drinker in SW Ontario looking to connect with people in a similar situation and share stories and experiences.

Hi mdw I was a daily drinker, I am a member of AA and celebrating 2 months sober tomorrow. I live in a town called Carrickfergus Northern Ireland, welcome to SR I find it really useful and love the 24 hour club, where you sign up for 24 hours of sobriety.

Thanks for the responses. I am not sure what the right program is for me. I typically drink out of boredom or after coming home from work. I have lost the ability to enjoy most things..I can usually go a day or two and then it's a least a litre..not sure where to start.

MDW, in order to find a program for you, maybe you can try a few to see if you like? There is AA, rational recovery, Smart recovery, AVRT (addictive voice recognition technique). There are many options.
But the first step is wanting sobriety ;-)

Hi and welcome. I'm from as far east as one can go in Massachusetts.
I had to find out the hard way to start on the road to sobriety ASAP because procrastinating it does not lessen any struggles getting sober.
