Such a relief not to wake up with a hangover
Such a relief not to have to count my money out and wonder how I can get enough cash to buy enough alcohol
Such a relief not to have to rotate shops and feel embarrassed for buying the cheapest, nastiest alcohol available
Such a relief not to make a complete fool of myself in blackout
Such a relief not to fall off my bed, self-harm or start counting out pills for suicide because I'm so drunk
Such a relief not to wake up with shame and dread because of what I did the night before and to want to drink again to make those feelings go away.
What a relief to be out of that cycle! I thought I'd never be free of it. To anyone reading this, KE is right - you can be free too!
