I hope you try it! Sooo different than I expected, and I wasn't the only one in my late 20's there either, which I was SURE I would be!

I lived in Southern CA for years and I know that will not be an easy city to get/or stay sober in! Especially as a bartender! lol I was a total college party girl and didn't see it as a problem until just a few years ago because that's what everyone was doing! I'm lucky my life took me off to new places because I truly don't know if I could have even started accepting that this is bigger than me had I stayed in the area. I even get nervous when discussing visiting as only my best friend knows about any of this and even then I highly doubt she'd question buying a bottle of wine!

I'm sure people get sober there all the time though! Good luck!

Pinot!!! Yay! I am so happy for you. I think it helps in early recovery to explore what is out there. It helps me feel like I am doing something proactive to keep my head in the game, and I think it builds sobriety muscles. That is wonderful!
