congrats on your sober time RJY.
What about a walk around the block as an easy way to get into a exercise regime?

Hi RJY9 - it took me until about day 50 to stop stuffing my face and get to the gym. I'm on day 66 now and the past two weeks of working out have done wonders for me! I also don't crave as many sweets/unhealthy foods since I've started a work out routine.

In the beginning we need time to heal and comfort ourselves. I think its perfectly OK to go through that as long as we stay away from alcohol, anything else we can deal with.

You'll get there, perhaps set a goal for when you'd like to begin exercising and begin with a little each day and build up from there…

Good luck!

Nice on 36 days!

You might try keeping a food diary, it invests you in your eating choices and helps keep accountable. Might help, dunno

Congrats RJY9! Amazing accomplishment. Don't worry about stuffing your face, nobody's perfect, took me a couple months before I got my butt on the treadmill.

Congrats! I kind of went on a carb bender the first month after I quit. I gave myself permission to basically eat anything I wanted to long as I didn't drink. That storm blew itself out after a while. Just give it time.
