7 day in some q's.

I'm celebrating 7 days today, it's really lovely to be booze-free but I have some QS
1- I still wake up feeling like I'd drank the night before. It takes me a few secs to realize I didn't, I feel quite panicky when that happens.
2 - I'm still a little jittery and find it hard to focus or settle my mind during the day. I'd even say I am feeling quite 'stoned' at times.
3 - I'm very, very tired throughout the day and whilst it's nice to be able to sleep again it seems to be all I want to do these last few days.

I quit nicotine and pot on the same day so that might be aggravating the withdrawal because it's def worse than I was expecting it to be although I know it's relatively mild compared to those with more alcohol intake. I was wondering how long it takes for physical symptoms to wear off on the whole, so I can differentiate between what is psychological and what is biological, ie the tiredness etc, is that an actual known symptom or some kind of withdrawal depression? I'm a bit confused ATM. A withdrawal timeline would be handy.

Very normal. Your body is healing.

Keep moving forward!!

Standard withdrawal symptoms, your body is adjusting to not having what it has lived with having every day.

However if things get too crazy, be sure to get checked out by a doctor! Depending on the person timescales vary, as do severity of symptoms!

Oh boy the sleepies! I posted ?? on this myself- the entire first month I was bone crushingly exhausted. My dear friends here promised it would get better- and it did! I am only on day 74 now myself, but everyday its a little better! CONGRATS on your total sobriety! Keep it up!

I agree with the others - it's all very normal Friends.

I was exhausted from what I put my body through - and definitely had phantom hangovers. It felt so good to realize I hadn't been drinking - such relief. The foggy brain thing - had that too. Everything changed & got better - we go through many phases as we heal. Congratulations on your 7 days!

reminds me of me
those are some of the symptoms I also had in early recovery
the problem with a drunk like me
when I sober up I expect most all to be perfect
and I want it now
truth is that it all takes time
much time in many cases

be good to yourself
you are sober yet again today -- that is a big deal in itself !!

Quitting all those things together is hard so you are doing extremely well. You should be proud.
