I am going out friday night for a family birthday meal i know they all will be drinking fine wines anyone got any idears on what i could drink dont really want to sit with a coke or lemonade at the table i want somthing a bit more sophisticated only on day 8 but will not touch a acholic drink i am going to sit back and enjoy them all talking rubbish with a smile on my face

I usually go for a fentimans...It looks fancy & you can ask them to keep it in the bottle then sit and peel the label off if you get frustrated

Not sure if this place does non-alcoholic cocktails, but if they do they basically look and taste a bit more "sophisticated", plus there may be plenty of flavours to choose from to keep you occupied throughout the night!

If not, my tipple these last few weeks has been cranberry juice, ice and a slice of lime, every bar will at least have fruit juices as mixers, so take your pick!

I love lime and soda which looks fine in a pretty glass, TGIFriday does a lovely fruit cocktail. Apelitzer is nice too.

3 parts soda water, 1 part cranberry juice over ice, with a lime wedge.

Water? You will most likely be pleasantly surprised that no one else will care in the least what you are drinking anyway. Our alcoholic minds falsely assume that others will care, but in reality, they don't.
