Partner coming home drunk. My turn to clean....

So my fiancee came home tonight in a very drunken state covered in vomit. I felt it was my duty to clean her up and make sure she's in bed. The bed she then was sick all over!

She rarely drinks and cleaned me up when I was a drunk (although I was never sick, natch!)

Seeing her in that state reminds me what I was like and any longing for alcohol disappears. Now sat watching soccer and knowing it'll be a long night lol

Sounds like a great reminder of why you don't drink.

I try to freeze moments/images like that in my mind for times when my AV tell me that people are "enjoying" their drinking. Hope you have a good night.

Happened to me on the son's 18th. Even had to call an ambulance because he was sick in his sleep. Good thing is he hasn't drunk since.

It's those little reminders that emphasize we made the right choice to quit.

Well she woke up around 3am. She's fine and full of apologies. I'm not one to judge so everything is fine. The good thing is that we got a new washing machine midweek so it has had a good workout tonight!
