It has been 9 days now. They really have been pretty good days. Ya know, ups and downs, but really this time more ups than downs. I am working it harder this time I do not plan on quiting, quiting this time. Thanks, boy was I a pill head, but not today, or for the last 9 days

Becky,

I'm glad you are doing better. I think the suggestion to have a plan for the next craving is a great ideal. Make yourself a list of what worked this time and keep it handy. Maybe add some phone numbers to it. Do you have a sponsor? do you go to meetings? is so, then add your sponsors number and some other numbers to you "In case of craving, break glass" list. Also you might want to look up your local NA or AA helpline numbers and have them handy as well.

And, of course you can always call in the calvary.

It was really awesome to watch this process in action. THIS is how it WORKS!!

-------- well said! I love that "was". Re me asking about the 9 days, I didn't know what part of the thread I had jumped into

If you call, they will also direct you towards NA or AA volunteers, who will be willing to talk to you on the phone, or even be willing to come to your house.

AA has a book called 'Living Sober" for, I think $2-3 which is invaluable. And if you don't have the $$$$$, they'll give it to you. They did for me.

Becky, you are well on your way!
