Yes, it is very "normal." My drug of choice wasn't alcohol but I have experienced very much the same thing you have. I'm on 6 day six. I still feel a little weak and I have to rest often.

I know it doesn't seem like it, but it WILL get better. Just keep posting here, especially when you feel a moment of fear or apprehension that you might fall back into old habits.

Congratulations on day 3!!

see nothing un-normal there for a recently sober one
vitamins and eating well with rest promotes healing -- body, soul and mind

oh yes -- and -- no more booze added

Good for you and do talk to your dr if you're concerned.

Thanks for your reply's just got a bit worried as people say consult your doctor so wasn't sure detoxed from heroin quite a few times years ago but that cant kill you doing it cold turkey but alcohol can and it's legal !!

Thanks again for your help x

If you have any concerns at all it's best to check yourself checked out by a Dr, Tom.

Hope you feel better soon

My doc recommended vitamin B to me when I told her I was quitting. Alcohol depletes it from our bodies. I tried to quit last year (unsuccessfully) and didn't take them in my recovery and this time I feel so much better!

Congrats on day 3, it WILL get better with time.

Hi Tom. I agree - it all sounds normal. We've put our bodies through so much - it takes a bit of time to feel human again. Congratulations on your 3 days - well done.
