New to website
Hi, I am Milosdaddy and am new to this site, not as new to recovery though. I am 174 days sober since a horrible relapse. I am very positive about this time trying again, working my program with honesty this time, which I never did before. I never really admitted powerlessness before and with obvious consequences. Hi, and look forward to chatting with everyone!
Welcome to SR Milosdaddy !
With 174 sober days you are way ahead of many SR posters.
I'm sure you have much helpful experience to share.
Sober Recovery has been my only source for sobriety and it's here 24 hours each day.
How much were you drinking during your "horrible relapse?"

I was drinking 10+ beers per day. Having beer for breakfast and sometimes also having wine and margaritas depending on who I was with.
Had relapsed for three and a half years after being sober for almost one year. Got tired of being hungover everyday and I could tell another DUI (felony next time) was certain to happen if I did not quit drinking. I don't ever want to feel as bad as I did March 21.
I got a DUI back in 2000 and did 10 days in jail plus community service. They let me do the jail time on weekends so it would not interfere with work. Also had probation and an Interlock device on my car for two years. I was not ready to stop drinking then. I figured out exactly how much I could drink in the evening and still be able to start my car the next morning. Sounds crazy now, but seemed normal then.
Sounds like that one night was tough for you. That really is the worst one-night relapse I have heard of. I hope after 175 days your family realizes you are serious about staying sober.
Glad you found SR.
