SG..I was a bit confounded on this thread until I realized you bumped it. Hey..39 is young in "man years" : ) I know you are processing tremendous loss right now...
BUT..you are primed for a second wind..and it will be greater than the first half if you take the outstretched hand of sobriety before you...
Please ensure that you look into things that will make sobriety doable..literary resources 3D support like a recovery group or therapy. It's time to make changes in everyway. LIfe is different sober..much much different if you allow yourself to grow bigger now. Don't stay small by looking at that closed door in sadness..
Look to the giant open door of YES..before you.
