AA'er makes a caring call

Hiya,
I hope that everybody had a pleasant Thanksgiving.

I just wanted to share that I received a call today from an AA'er who noticed that I hadn't been around in awhile. He was concerned about my well being and sobriety. Ironically, this is the same guy that I was considering asking to sponsor me. I think I will, now. I like that. Fellowship. Others in recovery concerned about others in recovery. Don't see enough of that.

Made me feel good to be sober.

"The people in the rooms loved and cared for me until I was able to love and care for myself." I am embarrassed to say it, but this is a big part of the attraction for me. Thanks for the post.
