A really cool first
 

Went out for my MIL birthday tonight. The outlaws :) have been quite supportive in not drinking around me. But tonight they decided to share a bottle of wine during the dinner in celebration of her birthday. And not once, not one single time during the whole dinner, did I have have even the teensiest wish for that wine. Didn't phase me, didn't feel deprived, was proud and centered and not panicky or anxiety ridden.

It was so strange. So liberating.

I think I'm going to make it this time. :) :) :)

Next up - Hosting 25 for Thanksgiving.

I still take all drinking situations seriously because I never know how they will effect me. In all cases I have an escape plan, a dry house, and phone numbers to calll if I am tempted

A guy at work was telling me today how he sank two bottles of wine last night whilst putting up his christmas decorations. The old me (aiming for moderation, moderating to oblivion) would have been jealous. The new me (24 days properly sober) actually felt sorry for him.
