Found photo from week one
For the past few months, when I've been deepest into my alcoholic cloud, I"ve hated looking at photos of myself. I look so gaunt, skinny, and strung out. No emotion or energy, and glassy eyes, pale skin. I hate it. I've only quit for a little over a week and I can feel life coming back into me, but I'm sure it will continue to get better over the next weeks and months (and years).
Bloody hell Dolly ! You look FANTASTIC . Stick this on your fridge hun xxxx
What a transformation ;-))))
Bpositive . I'm 5 months today and I would NEVER have got here without the support of SR .
IT TRULY DOES GET BETTER . I remember the glassy eyes ..ugh ,
Stay here with us , you are gonna feel and look a million bucks xxxx

You look great! Congratulations!!!!
I took a photo of myself somewhere around day 3 of sobriety for comparison purposes... I'm going to take another one around 30 days... It's more difficult to see on a day to day basis so I'm excited to see change in photos.

Same here. The appearance has vastly improved for the better. All thanks to sobriety and what comes with it. In the beginning I got inspired by a few youtube videos or vlogs where recovering alcoholics were healing and explaining how they feel at those times. The differences were really stunning...
Dolly, what a transformation!! You look so alive and happy now! Congrats!
BPositive, you just wait. It continues to get so much better. Soon, you will look back on where you were a week ago in amazement over how much you have changed for the better.

I have noticed this as well. It is a great tool to not drink just as when I was quite fat. I have kept a picture of me then and now. One of the great things for me is the beer-belly is starting to go away. That has made me happy and my wife very happy.
I was looking at pictures today (because it is so important to clean the attic two days before Thanksgiving ???), and I couldn't believe how quickly the wheels fell off the bus during the last few years. I was a figure skater up until 3 years ago...and when I quit, well let's just say I could have got a job with Disney on Ice, but it would have been as Shrek.
Lol...thanks all. Yeah, in 7 months of being sober, I have lost 60 pounds, and just started caring again about how I looked. It's nice to see the positive results if my sobriety, and it helps to keep me motivated to STAY healthy!
Dolly you look amazing, you really do, your skin is luminous. Your face glows with good health and well being.
I've never been a girly-girl but at 58 I'm amazed by the difference in my appearance, my skin is as near to ideal as a person's of my age could be. My hair is actually thicker and way shinier.
