Starting off Thanksgiving week right!

Today I am SO THANKFUL for being sober this morning. I am also so thankful for the people in my life who have never left my side despite the crap I have put them through.

I am honestly looking forward to being sober on Thanksgiving. I'm going to start the day off with an early meeting, church and then a day with friends, my husband and daughter. I haven't had a sober Thanksgiving since 2006 because my husband and I used to always start holidays off with mimosas and drink ALL DAY LONG. Here's to remembering the fun and joyous day!!!!

I totally concur with anchorbird 100%, but it occurred to me just how strange such a statement must seem to non-alcoholics. They have no idea...

I'm thankful for being sober too! That I've been sober long enough that I don't stress over it at parties or gatherings.

This holiday will just be me, my BF and the rabbit...but that's ok too. It's one of the tradeoffs for living where we do, for which I am SO grateful...and its OK.
