Recovery Home

it's been awhile since i've been on here. I've had many relapses, or i should just say continued use since i can never get past 3 months, but i have a feeling this time will be different. I just got out of treatment again a few days ago and am in a recovery home totally out of my area and for once without my car taking the bus everywhere now and the metra. i think ill be okay this time im just stressing about money but my parents are helping me i need to find a sponsor. hit up a good meetings at hazelden and kedzie house.

My daughter (age 23) is in a very similar situation. In recovery house, no car (takes the bus) and has no money, so we are helping her out. She is sober 83 days today

Just wanted to say hello and wish you good luck on remaining sober. And also-on Thursday say an extra special thanks to your parents for all their help! I know my daughter doesn't really understand how difficult it is on us- a thank you goes a long way with us.

You're doing the right thing. You're in a sober environment, you have rules and restrictions, and you're making meetings. Just keep it up. Money stuff will work its way out. Your number one goal is to stay sober for today. Sounds like you've been doing a great job so far.
