I have to constantly remind myself that it takes time... becoming comfortable with no longer drinking, changing bad habits, changing your strength and willpower to keep going, and attempting to regain the trust you lost from your loved ones because of your selfish, awful behavior. It takes time. I just hope it won't take as long as I think. :/

Don't focus on the future. Just think about today, what you can do that's right today. Eventually the change will come but you have to be patient.

I agree with Dee - it won't take as long as you think. Those bad days will become overshadowed by all the new and hopeful things that will be happening. You're doing great Jade.

It will happen, Jade. Learning patience was the hardest lesson for me in early recovery. Just keep on doing the right things and you'll get there.
