It sure is a rollercoaster!

I wrote yesterday how great I felt, and how I haven't had that feeling in so long. Today I woke up riddled with anxiety and REALLY down in the dumps, almost crying about anything and everything!
I'm on day 8. I'm feeling frustrated!
You guys were right.....it really is a rollercoaster of emotions you go through in the beginning!

Hi Tippy79. I'm on day 8 too. Sorry it's going a little rough for you right now. Try to hang in there. Things will improve soon and you're doing great!

It really is a rollercoaster, tippy! You can do it though. I'm on day 24 and it had gotten better for a couple weeks... and then today came lol. I had a super irritable day... but took a walk outside, relaxed, and tried to spoil myself with good food and relaxation at home and it's helped a bit.
Do something today to take care of yourself!! Be kind to yourself and do something to make yourself feel good-- you deserve it!

Hi Tippy..yes, it does feel like that in the beginning. I would try and do something nice for yourself while you're feeling so emotional..go for a walk, have a bubble bath, eat something nice.

Keep reading and posting. We understand x

Tippy79, 8 days is FANTASTIC. Congratulations. It was a roller coaster ride for me as well in the beginning but 3 years 4 months sober the cravings, frustration and such have vanished as far as the booze is concerned. Please just tuff it out, it gets better as time goes by. Rootin for ya.

Thanks everyone! Your words of encouragement and experience with this help tremendously! I've only told three people about my problem, and they are all far away, so being able to interact with people who have gone through/going through the same thing as I am really helps.
I appreciate you taking the time to support me in this battle!

You are doing brilliantly Tippy I haven't told anyone at all, as I feel it would put even more pressure on me.
