What does your avatar mean to you?
Before I was an alcoholic, I found peace in nature. Where I live, there are all kinds of beautiful flora and fauna. This mushroom represents that. I will recover the wonder of these things...
I was kinda wondering where the mushroom was….?You could probably freak a lot of us out by talking about your avatar in detail and we would all be thinking we were having hallucinations…
EVERYONE ELSE CAN SEE THE MUSHROOM…OH NO…WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME??????

My avatar now is of the Katzenjammer kids, and old American cartoon -- my mom used to call disobedient children katzenjammer kids, and that's part of me. I'm using it now in particular because of the mistletoe & I like the bad boys making nice under the mistletoe, very seasonal.
My avatar represents the change in me and my lifestyle in the last two years!
Because I am happy and being me I don't need to hide behind alcohol to be happy, hence why I'm here.
I wonder how many people here actually know what it means?

I give up. Google has no information on this, and when looking at your profile, you give out little clues as to your Avatar!?! So, do tell!
I would say Jesus and the holy trinity, but I am thinking otherwise.
Yup, I googled it too, to no avail. I always think that if god forbid the fbi ever had to confiscate my computer they would be like WTH? Some of the things I have looked up because of this site would look pretty strange on a Dateline special.
I'm afraid it's nothing to do with Christ!
It is the symbol for the 'BDSM' community. Now a very big part of life. Something I tried to suppress for over 20 years and partly responsible for my drinking.
It's a long and complicated story, I might post it sometime.
I'm happy being me, with who I am and what I am and I don't need alcohol to make me happy anymore....

Okay, now that I've gotten in my prerequisite smartass post, I suppose I should reply to the OP.
My avatar - The Tao of Pooh. Other than my EX-shrink (got my sane stamp years ago, hence my "ex"), the people who've helped me the most, with not just my drinking problem, but life in general, are William James, Lao Tzu, and of course Winnie The Pooh (THE Uncarved Block).
