What is your best way to stay sober over the holidays?
I know that there are links here to great ways to focus on maintaining our sobriety over the Thanksgiving weekend and also the forthcoming Christmas festivities, but it would be fun to hear any light hearted ways we clever witty SRers have of refusing a drink, or maintaining sanity at family gatherings, work parties etcetera
Being a 50 year old grandmother, I love the jaw dropping effect of ' not for me, I think I'm pregnant'!

I'm looking forward to not keeping up with my husbands aunt drunky pants! I'm actually quite excited for the show, which involves tons of inappropriate comments, gestures.
I'm also thrilled to not have to "pace myself" Christmas Eve so mommy doesn't fall asleep before the kids..... Leaving Santa's job pretty much impossible
Looking forward to not having mascara running down my face in the christmas morning pictures
Looking forward to eating my thanksgiving calories rather than drinking them!
I'm sure there will be a hundred more things ill think of!

I haven't had a Christmas drink for years. Even when I was a drinker, I'd abstain that day because I was too busy, so I'm used to it. Just enjoy all the goodies and tell people you are on antibiotics because you have a boil on your ass.
