Day 20 -- Bad news / Good news

Today is day 20 for me. Officially 3 weeks tomorrow, yay! Bad news is I broke my ankle playing softball and am in a cast for a few weeks; good news is I got to check off " non-drinker" on all the medical forms. That was a definite bright spot in my day

Congrats on 20 days! Sorry to hear about the ankle but as anyistoomuch pointed out, at least you did it doing something clean and fun. I broke my foot two years ago because I was drunk and kicked my couch.

Thanks so much everyone. Like anyistoomuch and ZeldaFan said, it is kind of funny how I can be a drunk for so long and never once get hurt; finally clean and sober and I break my ankle! It was an amazing slide into 3rd base though!

So sorry you hurt yourself! Congrats on each day you are sober. Be careful I know how hard it is for me when I am injured and can't run or work out. I used to eat and drink more b/c I was bored. Make sure you try and get out when and hobble around when you can!
