Been a while since I posted here, though I have in a couple of the other sub-forums. Quit drinking on 26th August and have been sober since except for a blip I posted about a few weeks ago. Had a superb day today I must say. The flatness and depression I was struggling with seems to be lifting too. Given that has been a big obsticle that is a great relief.
Stopping drinking is part #1. What you find you are as a person when you get there and what you are going to do about it seems to be part #2!

Part 2 is the hard part
When you look at the 12 steps, only the first three actually deal with stopping drinking. The rest are all about figuring out who you are as a person; the good, the bad and the ugly. Then trying to working on those issues and become a better person overall.
