AA meeting in 1 hour and I am scared to tell them I relapsed...
 

but I will. I LOVE the people in this meeting (if only it wasn't at 6:45 in the morning), but I want to be honest.

I don't want to see the disappointment on their faces. They just made a big deal out of me getting my 1 month chip last week. I guess the only thing to do is be honest, learn from my mistake and move forward.

Dont worry, it will be fine!

You won't see disappointment. You will see pride and gladness that you are honest and still trying.

I admitted that to my former home group a while back and found nothing but encouragement and acceptance.

I have gone back, with my tail between my legs, 3 times....only to be welcomed with open arms. Many have been there and done that. Go ahead....you can do it....

It's ok as I'm sure there will be much encouragement and support. I slipped and slid to many times but finally recognized the fact " If I don't pick up the first drink I don't have to try to get sober AGAIN."

Honesty is the core of any program.

I chaired my first AA meeting last night and had a guy share that he just stopped at a bar before the meeting and was intoxicated. He has been coming for years and his sponsor was acros the circle.

We have seen it all. Be honest don't beat yourself up but see what you can learn from this experience and how to change the course so you don't relapse next time.

Good luck. Talk to your sponsor and figure out why you did not call her before you drank.
