So I attended my second meeting, got more numbers, and invited to young people meeting tomorrow. Got dinner and going to get some sleep. Tomorrow is a week sober.

Yea still distressed. I am going to walk tonight and run a little bit, try to sweat out some frustration. I really decided that if I want my life to get better I have to stop drinking and thinking about killing myself every day of my life. Taking medication for depression.

Well there is light somewhere. Got me a "friend" date at the park on Sunday. Trying to learn how to make friends again. Just returned from a long walk and sprinted a few times. One thing I know is I am 28 years old and I am going to give myself a chance this time, I won't just give in like the last thirty times. Tomorrow is one week sober.

Acheleus have you joined a class here at SR so that you can receive support from others and you can give support to other SR members? I think that in our recovery we need to give support to others who are struggling just as much as we receive support -- perhaps more.

I'd also urge you to come over to the gratitude section and join one of those threads too. When we look for reasons to give thanks we realise the richness already in our lives.
