Meeting

Well that went great.
LOL.

Meeting was supposed to start at 7:30 pm.
I got there at 07:20.
Nobody there.
I called the number that was on the website.
No response.
I send a text message to the number.
No response.

Proberly some lesson to be learned here.
Or just dumb bad luck (altough that does not exist in my opinion. )
Proberly both :).

Gotta find out if there are actually still meetings here in this town...

I pressed the Post quick reply button...
And then he called back.

LOL.

Well there is an obvious lesson the be learned here.
Patience patience patience.

No meetings in this town, but in a town nearby on saturdays...
Fits in my schedule once in a while.

Well good job on being persistent and finding out where the meetings are rather than just giving up. I think that you will find that it is worth the effort. Good Luck on your journey in sobriety.

I agree and applaud on your patience and persistence.

I was at a meeting yesterday and this lady was upset because the church had posted the meeting was at 5 and it was really at 6. She said she was going to email the church and complain that she wasted an hour.

I was like dang, resentful much?

I wanted to ask her if she had a meeting book and why she felt it was the churches responsibility to post about AA meetings but I kept my mouth shut. Not so Happy, joyous and free for that one...lol

The world does not change for you..

I found it's easier/wiser to change for the world..

Kinda taoist viewpoint there.

I had to learn patience, too.

Me too. I think of "if it is meant to be, it will be" when I get impatient. Otherwise I will obsess over it to the point of distraction.
