You might google AVRT/Rational Recovery. There is something called the crash course you can take. It might even have an options for translation for your native language.
Here is a link to a post by one of our members that explains his experience with AVRT. It is also the technique I used to quit drinking for good.

I found one English speaking group. I don’t know if you live anywhere near it.
Moresby Saturday Morning Group
Galley Restaurant
Kowedobu
Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea
I suggest you also contact the Australian Intergroup of AA. Here is the web site. Contact an Alcoholics Anonymous Central Service Office Tell them about your situation and ask for help with starting a meeting in your country. They might even give you some financial help to do so. SOMEONE has to do it. It might as well be you! You can make history! Early AA members contacted doctors and clergy to get referrals to groups that were just beginning here in the U.S.
What a story this might be!

Lurox, I'm so happy to hear you are close to that meeting. There are 7 million people in your country and ONE MEETING? PLEASE start a meeting there for those who are not English speaking.
You have your work cut out for you.

Hi Lurox and welcome. You will find lots of help and support here on SR. We are all in this together and there is always someone to listen and give advice. I haven't been to any meetings yet, but I've been sober for 2 months now, and that is all thanks to the fantastic support I have received here. Good luck back in PNG and what a great idea to set up a new meeting; what an amazing incentive that would be for you to stay sober
Please let us know how things go for you when you return to your country.
Many people who helped to start meetings here when AA started often had only a few weeks sober. I suggest that you do the 12 steps as soon as you can, so you can help others. I have a feeling you are going to do a lot of good things when you return. Best wishes.
