Came clean with wife last night
I came clean with my wife last night about my sexual addition. She knows I've got some mental health problems, but this was a bit of a shock.
The conversation with her went surprisingly well. There was no judgment or blame, just support. I don't deserve her, and I'm so thankful she is in my life. It is incredibly freeing to have everything out on the table. We've got some serious work ahead of us, but at least she is on my side.
Days sober... 5 and counting.

For the most part, porn and strip clubs.
I tried to start something up with a very good friend. I had to tell my wife that I betrayed her trust with someone she knows I care about and has heard me talk a lot about.
Sobriety for a sex addict is hard to judge, since nothing happened. I still consider this a failure, as it was not my own willpower that kept me sober. Kinda like showing up at the bar to get drunk but finding out they were out of beer.
My wife was nothing but understanding and comforting. She did not judge me. She even was understanding of my pain in burning a friendship. How messed up is my life that my wife is understanding when I'm crying my eyes out about a woman I had wanted to have an affair with. I've done nothing but try and hurt her - she has done nothing but try to help me.
