I have no experience with codine phosphate or venlaflaxine. However, I congratulate you on your 7 weeks of sobriety! Way to go!!!

Well, mate, I think the most important part here is recognizing the problem and digging in for the hard work of dealing with withdrawal. A real positive here is that you don't have alcohol detox to put on top of the codeine withdrawal.
Always best at this point to seek some medical support. Opiate withdrawal isn't pretty but you deal with it if you honestly think you have hit your bottom.
Also, NA and AA are valuable support networks, but it that isn't your cup of tea, posting and reading here is a great tool.

Talk with your doctor. The medical community is very understanding and sympathetic to addiction. They can help make your withdrawal less unpleasant.
Be honest. It will be okay.
Find moral support during this time and for your continued recovery. Thus board is helpful and I've found applying AVRT and 12-step meetings very beneficial.

I'm very happy you joined us whitty. This is a great place to talk things over and get support. No one in my life understood me like my friends here - it feels good to not be alone.
