Hello Sober Recovery - I missed you!!!
Welcome back Raider!
It sounds like you gave rehab your full attention! For me, that is what it took to get the full value out of the experience. I believe rehab saved my life and I will be forever grateful.

Welcome back Pam! I'm glad that it went so well for you. I can't believe it's already been 28 days...went by in a flash! I hope that you got lots of tools for your new, sober, happy life. With some hard work, faith and a bit of luck, that dark place is far behind you now. It's on to better than things.

Welcome back! It sounds like you did an amazing job following directions and getting a good handle on our disease.
You can and will stay sober if you continue to follow the directions of your rehab, i.e., daily meetings, sponsor, steps and aftercare. I thought I was a lost cause, but all I did was follow the simple instructions they gave me in rehab. Don't let your guard down. But also relish that you were able to get through something that is very mentally and physically tough.
I'm so proud of you, Pam. Keep it up!

Great to see you made it through rehab and are here again! I think it's cool that they took everything away from you so you could concentrate on recovery, but did they prepare you for the ups and downs and distractions of the real world? How is that going for you? Are you able to maintain sobriety? How is your husband reacting? I'm just curious if they told you in rehab that you need to have no alcohol in the house when you got out.
Congrats on 30 days and keep up the good work!

My husband, who was adamant about alcohol in the house when I left has decided to quit drinking. He hasn't had a drink in over three months. All the liquor is gone out of the house. There wasn't much discussion in rehab about alcohol in the house. They teach a different way of life. I learned a lot of coping skills. Yes I'm still holding on to my sobriety. I don't feel like running to the bottle, but something is odd about this sober life. Waiting for this to pass as I'm sure it will. Thanks for asking.
