I agree - you're among friends. No one is judging. I hope you'll continue to post & relieve some of your stress.

It's astounding to look back at what a few drinks can start.

I'm sorry for your pain but welcome back Twinings

Well I wasn't holding up anything... that was a bender and some... silly silly amounts of alcohol... but I tapered it back out my system and last night slept for about 18hrs on and off!! Crazy... but I had been a walking zombie for days.

Today I'm starving!! have some hardcore recovery food, herbal teas and some b vits and milk thistle. It's one extreme to the other for me.

Hi Twinings;
I'm glad to see you back.
Just dust off and start again.
You have a lot of sober days before this, and can build them again.

How's your leg doing?

That's what I've heard called a bump in the road and shouldn't affect your long term sobriety if you pick up the pieces and resume your fine recovery. Statistics indicate that relapses or slips, or whatever, happen at times in recovery. In no way should they be viewed as destroying all the progress made to date. I attended a "Thanksgiving" lunch at a local church and a lady said some outrageous things to me and I had to leave and go home. I'm glad I didn't drink. Took a heart pill instead and in a half hour or so I found I could get a nap. They were serving lots of wine at that "social" so maybe the woman was drunk or suffering from the effects of a stroke.
A bump in the road for you and for me. It's Monday morning and that "holiday" is over, thank God!

Thanks hawkeye,

I had prob more sober days than ever I think...and I was just about to start reading my rational recovery book which I plan to get on to tonight in a nice warm bath.

The legs ok thanks.. it's in a boot now which is good.
