Day 7: going strong

I'm really trying to focus on and embrace the positive things coming from this sobriety. It's really helping me stay on track to remind myself of the improvements constantly. I'm also consciously trying to find sober activities to do, and friends that want to do them, it's making me feel less isolated. So far so good, these things are helping me to keep moving forward. I can't believe I made it a week and I still haven't come close to having a drink!

Way to go man. The first 7-10 days were the hardest for me, then it starts to get easier.

Congrats Erik!

advbike, I hope that's the same for me! For the past two months I've gotten sober for max about 10 days then slip up because I "feel good" or something lame... I'm on day 6 right now (day 7 in 2 hours ) and am really really really trying to get past day 10! I really want to know what it feels like to have 30 days of sobriety this time.

You can do it! 30 days is just 10 days 3 times! I haven't done 30 days since I started drinking 15 years ago... I don't know if I've ever even done 7 before this.. If i feel this good after 7, I can't wait to feel what 30 is like!

Me too!! I'm 6 days away from finding out too. 30 days was always the hurdle I fell at, so will be glad to see the other side of it this (final) time
