Glad to be back ! Hi ,ive just joined the site and wanted to share this not bear this, After six and a half years sobriety, i decided i was going to for a small half (here in Scotland we call a whiskey a half) well that small half lasted a year and a half , and took me back to hell , mental hospitals, police and courts came back into my life , my partner and sons went out, and the death wishes came back with a vengeance, i would rather have been dead than existing in the hell i was in , it started when i stopped practicing my programme , started criticizing , staying in the kitchen at my group meeting, leaving the meetings at half time and finally stopped going to meetings, it was in the post that i would pick up a drink and and that was certainly delivered, today im seven months sober and im grateful to be back and glad to be sober. |
