Nothing puny about 38 Correy, it's on the way to huge numbers.

I had to count Healthyfood --243!

If I feel good, want to celebrate with a drink . . . feel down, want to wallow in drinking. 20 days and I do feel much more solid than the first week or so, when it was a huge constant struggle.
Ethos, thank you for your post. Like I said, I am on day 5 and the cravings and thoughts seem to be the hardest tonight. I was starting to panic a little about really wanting a drink. You saying your first week was a "huge constant struggle," but at day 20 you feel much better and stronger has eased me out of my panic. Glad you posted tonight. Thanks.

This is a fun thread, love seeing all the numbers. I feel like applauding after reading each post. I'm equally thrilled to see someone with 25 days as I am to see someone with 2500. Very cool.

486 days for me.

Day 4, I am having a rough time. I realize that alcohol has really messed up my life. I am feeling very afraid of the future not sure how things can get better. I have to believe that it will. I am now alone after an 11 year relationship, afraid that I will end up alone in life. My financial situation is getting worst due to a DUI 2 years ago, yet I continue to struggle with sobriety.

Thanks. There were no dinosaurs, Mice, cell phones, internet or PCs, and few cars had air conditioners! Four wheel drive was almost unknown except in the REAL off road areas, we learned to drive or stay off the road for a few hours. One thing that hasn't seem to change is the amount of drinking overall.

BE WELL
