I am 26 and I have been struggling with alcohol since the day I started drinking. I just want to live my life sober. I lost my mom to alcoholism and that is a big motivator for me to do anything I can to prevent the cycle from continuing. It is so good to know that I am not alone...wish I had never taken my first drink.

25 here! I do have trouble finding people my age at AA meetings. I know finding a new social life isn't the purpose of AA, but finding a new social life is something I need to do.

Agreed. I sure hope this is my last time. At meetings I've had some of the 40+ members come up to me and give me really good accolades saying what was mentioned above in this thread- that they wish they would have achieved sobriety earlier- I keep reminding myself of those conversations and they've been helping in my attempts to stay on the path.
