I'm new here. I wanted to say thank you to everyone for sharing their stories- both the good and the bad. They have help me to understand what I have been going through. I did not understand the psychological and physical aspects of repeated alcohol abuse. It took me a long time to realize that it was alcohol that was causing me to wake me up with anxiety at 4 a.m. I think I knew, but I was in complete denial. I heard this little voice in my head telling me that my lifestyle wasn't sustainable but I would not listen.
