First sober holiday

Just wanted to post that I am excited to be spending Halloween sober. My husband and I have always celebrated holidays (yes, even small ones) by drinking. He could always control his drinking, but I would end up asleep (passed out) by 7. I am on day 18 and can't wait settle in tonight with a scary movie, some candy and a cup of tea.

Happy halloween! We did the same thing, any excuse for a 'party'. Tonight I'll take my almost 4 year old trick or treating and order pizza!!

Those first sober holidays will always
be pleasant memories and milestones
you will treasure for years to come in
recovery.

I entered rehab and recovery back in
August 1990. The end of summer but
close to all those up coming holidays.

Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas,
New Years, Valentines and many more
sober.
