Greatful for sobriety
Hi folks. Been sober almost 4 and ½ months and feel better than ever.
I decided to make a post/contribution here for A) SR has been a tremendous help on my journey and B) to reinforce my own sobriety and learn new methods to stay true to the better life.
I think greatfulness is a powerful act. For instance, I am greatful for the things I have now, even while I want more things to work and all. In my opinion greatfulness is not humility, but it is the appreaciation of things that are now. Right now I'm very greatful to be sober and very greatful to have found this place and gotten the support I really needed during my initial phases of sobriety.
Can't say much else about it. It's great to be sober.

Congrats Unix! It's so awesome that you are in the phase of your recovery that you can celebrate what you are grateful for rather than lamenting on what you can't have! It makes such a difference in my own recovery too!
