After I detoxed, I got to thinking that I wanted to do the tasks around the house that I always said I would wait for my husband to do. He travels 5 days a week for work and is in school getting him MBA, so why shouldn't I do those things?
The other day I stripped all of the nasty, moldy caulk from one of our showers and yesterday I re-applied fresh caulk. I am so pleased with myself. There is no way I would have done that job while I was drinking. I would have gotten mad and thrown the caulk gun when it wasn't working properly or would have made a huge mess. I took my time and it turned out great. Now, on to replacing the weather seal on one of our doors.

Touch up paint that I've been meaning to get to for months.
Organized drawers.
Finally got a long overdue hair cut.
Going to complete a major chalkboard project I've been promising my kids.
Most rewarding, I have had lovely evening discussions with my husband in which I have been fully present and engaged, and that I remember the next day. :-)

Sew a button on a pair of pants that had fallen off years ago.
Kiss my daughter goodnight without smelling like a brewery.
Run every morning.
Ride my motorcycle in the evening.
Talk to my wife late at night.

Sometimes I swear my gently beating heart is my greatest accomplishment.
When I was drinking, my heart pounded out of my chest constantly. Like it was knocking at the door. LET ME OUTTA HERE !
Seems like anything is possible when you and your body are on the same page.

I, too, have accomplished much around the house; organizing, cleaning windows, etc. Gave away 6 garbage bags to goodwill. That felt GOOD.
Also been cooking up a storm. Always loved to cook but while using food just became secondary. Dinner every night on the table with my family has been a huge blessing. I've been wondering how I'm still spending all my money not using and have discovered it's because I'm buying so many groceries and health food items! Awesome trade

Lost 30 lbs and went from XL/XXL to size L that's the big one. Went from second to last beltloop to second from first, that's like four inches on the waist. (now that I think about it, that's a lot, lol)
Cleaned up house, shampooed carpets, sorted closets, rearranged bedroom, trimmed hedges, bunch of stuff I should have done anyway.
This year is body recomposition year. Next summer I take another stab at dating.
Maybe that was not the best choice of words.
Next summer maybe get back into the dating game.. that's better. And look for a new job, probably.
Little steps make big changes.

Got my house deep cleaned, got a new TV stand, reorganized some of the drawers in my bedroom, actually fold and put away laundry, started taking my work shirts to get them laundered and pressed, installed a new kitchen faucet, built a media center PC, upgraded my home theater, upgraded my wardrobe, started cooking dinner and using my juicer and got my lawn ready for winter. And all of that has been in less than two months
