Made it through the weekend!!!

Made it through the weekend. Got up early both days and went for good runs. Spent quality time with my family. All-in-all a GREAT weekend.

It is crazy how much easier this weekend was compared to how I view my weekends. I approach them (when drinking) with trepidation because everything is so hard. Hard to spend time with the family. Hard to do anything but lay in bed, which generally is not an option with little ones.

I made a spreadsheet to track my workouts and non-drinking days. I really like getting up in the morning and checking off another workout (or rest day) and a sober day. Had some cravings this weekend, but chalked most of them up to being hungry or tired. Took the time to get a bite to eat, rest or ride the wave.

I am out of town today and got up and hit a good run and am just feeling great. Gotta go shower and eat.

I WISH EVERYONE THE BEST WEEK POSSIBLE!!!!

Yay!!! I am very happy for you and inspired.

I keep researching when someone posts that they are finally feeling good to see how many days it's been for them and how they did it. Day 2 here... Still struggling.

I generally feel good on Day 2. I would generally drink a pint of vodka a night, this last time, none during the morning or day. Even so, I get back to exercising at the latest on DAy 2 and that is, in my opinion, what gets me feeling good. Despite my drinking history, I have continued to workout, albeit not as consistently, but I have a base level of fitness that allows me to really ramp up when not intoxicated.
