Weight Gain in Recovery
Welcome Sarah
Congrats on 103 days. Fantastic work!
You mentioned that you're still at a healthy weight now with 25lbs. The broad, loose pattern in early recovery seems to be that if we were a bit under, we gain when we quit, and if we were over we lose. Not sure where you started...
Either way, things tend to smooth out after 3 - 6 months when we start to integrate broader lifestyle changes.
Perhaps treating yourself to a visit to the dr with for tests & visiting a nutritionist to figure out what a good eating plan is for your new chemistry might help to get some answers as to why your specific body is responding in a particular way - and what you might want to focus on as you look toward broader lifestyle changes.
I know that my body responds quiet differently sober & visiting an integrative medical practitioner was a treat in terms of clarity & has been key to my physical recovery.
