48hrs alcohol free
Good Morning All,
This is my first post I have recently went on a drinking binge where I have been drinking 1 liter bottle of tequllia Silver Patron/ 1800 from August 24 - October 15th when I said enough is enough. I am detoxing at home and right now I'm in hell. Obviously I get the sweats, anxiety and insomnia have 1 hr sleep in 2 days.
Can anyone suggest homeopathic remedies for my symptoms.
Thank you

uff... that's a lot of strong liquor you've manged to consume.
it takes some real strength to keep that up (i only mean this as a joke).
but that shows that you should also have the strength to recover.
we can't really give medical advice here... but you can try some obvious things like vitamin b complex (available in any pharmacy), going for walks if you can, try to spend time in the sun, and keep on keepin' on.
if things do not improve i'd visit a doctor. you might be going through a very serious detox that could use a little medical supervision.

Welcome to SR Reota48.
Since you are doing this on your own make sure someone is checking on you in case you have severe symptoms and need medical attention.
There are some good herbal teas that are helpful for sleeping. GNC has some with valerian root and other natural herbs for relaxation.
Stay hydrated. Think of some non-alcoholic beverages you like and drink that when you have any cravings.
You're probably not hungry now but start thinking about some healthy foods to eat to replace some of the nutrients that alcohol depletes (like b complex and thiamine).
Keep posting on SR. There is always good advise on here.
SR has been my only source for recovery. If I ever have any cravings all I have to do is read a few stories on here and the cravings are gone. I don't ever want to feel as bad as I did 211 days ago.
Good Luck!

My best decision was to go to my doctor. They can give you stuff to get you through the first few days. Before that, I'd only had 2 hours of sleep over 3 days. Try to be with someone if you can just in case...
Reota,
If you are worried about withdrawals, see a doctor. reference to alternative medicine made me chuckle when you have been consuming vast amounts of toxic alcohol.
What are you hoping to achieve? Are you wanting to give up alcohol?
This is a great place for support.
Hope to hear more from you
all the best

Welcome Reota. You found a great place for encouragement. We all understand how you're feeling as you withdraw. It is a horrible time, but fortunately you never have to go back there. This will pass & you'll feel human again soon.
Good to know that some people are successful at staying sober with just SR. It's only been 31 days for me but I don't believe I'll ever be able to drink again. Even one sip. SR has been extremely helpful. You could take some milk thistle and dandelion. It helps repair liver damage. B vitamins too! Drink plenty of water and make sure you stay full. Sometimes hunger can cause cravings!
